Assembly show- Indian music.
Who put you in this class - the school or your parents requested for it?
I was the one who wanted to be in this class.
Do you like to be in a music class? Why?
I like to be in a music class because I have learned music since I was 3 and a half years old and I like music sooooooo much.
Are you involved in any music activities, e.g. a band member, an angklung member, a guzheng member, a guitar club member or do you play any instrument on your own?
I was a Anklung member last year. Now, I have quited Anklung. I also learn piano from a private teacher. I learn piano once a week. Now, I am grade 3 for piano.
If you are involved, do you enjoy doing all these? Why?
I enjoy doing all these because learning piano is very fun. I learn how to play a new song every week. I do not quite like Anklung because every time there is a performance for the Anklung group, they will keep calling you out of class for rehersal.
Now you're learning Hip Hop Dance. Do you enjoy yourself? What do you like about this special lesson?
I like the 'games' part and the 'watch movie' part in the Hip Hop lesson.

Total Defence Day
Hi 3.4!I hope you're enjoying your weekend. We commemorate Total Defence Day on 15 Feb. What did you hear at 12:05 on that day? How did you feel when you heard it?Our school organised some events for that day last Friday. What do you think of the activities organised? Which activity or activities do you like - Blogging contest, postcard writing contest, mystery bag activity, or the skit put up by your school friends on stage. Can you suggest some activities that you would like to be carried out for the next commemoration?
On the 15 Feb 12:05 I did not hear the alarm because I was in a shopping centre, Juntion 8. I was to busy looking at the books in Popular bookshop that I did not hear the alarm. I did not take part in any of the competitions too. The skit on stage was quite good, although it was quite lame. I have an idea. We should have a Total Defence Day like a games day next year. Just turn all the games into Total Defence Day games.
Hope my idea works!

Target Setting
Hi 3,4!
We're already half way through the term. I believe all of you have already set your targets for each subject. Please tell me what you have been doing to achieve your target. Do you think you are getting near to your goal?
I would like to hear your views.
Dear Mrs Shanmugam,
I have set my targets for every subject 100 marks. I believe that I can achieve my targets if I work hard everyday. I think I am getting near to my goal.

Happy New Year!
What did you do before the Chinese New Year.
What did you do on the 1st day of Chinese New Year?//The non- chinese pupils can also tell me how you spent your time
What do you intend to do with all the 'hongbaos' received.
Non-chinese pupils - How do you feel about the festival celebrated by your chinese friends.
I helped my mother to decorate the house with Chinese New Year decorations. I had 2 reunion dinners. My father, my mother and I went to my paternal grandparents' house on Sunday's reunion. The night before, we went to Humble House to enjoy dinner with my maternal grandmother.
On the first day of Chinese New Year, I went to my great grandmother's house to pay her a visit. I brought my PSP along in case I felt bored. I received a lot of of red packets too. I ate many Chinese New Year goodies such as shrimp rolls, sliced BBQ pork and pineapple tarts.
I saved up the money I recieved from the hongbaos. The money are now in my bank account.

School's vision, mission & values
MY SCHOOL VISION:
A school of distinction Nurturing Future-ready Citizens of Character.
I like my school. My school provides us the facilities I like. I enjoy computer lessons the most. I can do my blogging in the computer lab. Computer lessons helps me to learn more about IT. Next time I can work as a IT professional, just like my mother. I also enjoy P.E. lessons. P.E. lessons help me to keep fit.
MY SCHOOL MISSION:
Providing quality education to equip pupils with the values, knowledge and skills for the 21st century.
My teachers teach my friends and I on subjects such as, English, Maths, Chinese, Music, P.E., Health Education, Pastoral Care, Science, Art & Craft and Social Studies every school day. This year, I am responsible for cleaning the white board and AVA. I also take up Chinese Caligraghy as my CCA to help me know more about Chinese language.
MY SCHOOL VALUES:
P - Passion for learning
I - Integrity our foundation
E - Excellence in everything we do
My school values helps encourage us to love learning new knowledge and be honest. We must also try our very best in everything we do.
I believe in my school values. Through passion for learning, I will gain knowledge faster and that will help me be a knowledgable person. Being honest helps to build my moral values. I can then grow up to be a person with good IQ & EQ. To exel, I must complete each task fully and neatly. I will also feel happy to achieve excellence if I have completed the task well.
Last year, I took part in Angklung CCA. The Angklung team tried our best in the Singapore Youth Festival, Angklung competition. We achieved a Silver award for our school. All of us practised very diligently for the competition with the help of Mr. Khamis and Mdm Ong.
I will continue to put in my best effort to achieve top ten in standard, just like the previous years. If I find money in school not belonging to anyone, I will return the money back to the general office.
A few days ago, my teacher, Mrs Shanmugam, let us role play a legend in class. The role play is fun and it helps us to remember the legend better. I think we can also do a role play in class on a story about our school values.
